Design one style frame that communicates mood, tone, and emotional intent - without motion.
Colors are picked to evoke an exciting and energetic mood, emotions reflective of that of an actual fast-pace racing event.
Thrilling (exciting) alongside Dramatic (dynamic)
A style reminiscent to that of grunge, by utilizing many layers of texturing to build visual interest and grit the combines with a limited color palette to communicate a slight edge into the design.
The first sketch was meant to board out the largest shapes into the composition, how they play off of one another, playing with angles of how objects are placed in order to create an illusion of speed, which once again reflects the emotional direction meant to be conveyed through the final style frame.
The first pass was important to have an initial of idea of scale versus readability of the text, which felt notably off originally before making slight yet substation changes for the final product.
Development of the frame included an intricate process of testing dozens of various textures and how they interacted with one another before finally landing on the final look and feel at the very end.
